Good morning!
Happy 4th of July! This year’s Independence Day automotive celebrations are everywhere. Starting early and running through the weekend!
I’m a truly proud and grateful American. We are so fortunate to live in the greatest country ever conceived by man.
Immigrating to the US, my mother-in-law escaped communist Poland before the fall of the USSR. The stories I’ve heard of her childhood under communism are incredible.
For example, she recalls being excited each Christmas because she got an orange.
And since my mother-in-law’s Dad ran their city’s biggest hospital. Her family had a one of the few cars in the area. But that wasn’t due to his income as a top local doctor under communism. They had a car due to ‘under the table payments’ because government run healthcare was such a disaster.
So here’s to the USA. Another 250 years of providing us the freedom and liberty to live and prosper as we wish. And to enjoy the cars we want to drive!
