iDSC Weekly - 1.21.26

Good morning,

Last night San Clemente’s City Council heard from what seemed to be more than 100 South OC Cars and Coffee fans.

Since before the holidays some neighbors of the event were yipping about noise, etc. All the usual stuff. But frankly, the event is super orderly. Organizers do a great job. And it’s held at the outlet mall. Bringing tons of business to both the mall and the city - every Saturday!

But city council decided to ‘table’ the issue. Which means they’re agreeing to do nothing. And the show goes on!

However, tabling also means the issue could come back in the future. And of the 5 member council. It seemed 3 were firmly in favor of the show. While one was a little wishy-washy. And a final member seemed like he wasn’t really in favor of the show. But that member also didn’t push against it too hard.

So this Saturday, swing by the South OC C&C and celebrate the victory! But drive super-cool. And encourage the same from everyone you encounter. Because the council meeting did feel like a close call.
