Good morning automotive ally,

There are probably as many sub-cultures of automotive enthusiasts as there are cultures of human beings roaming planet earth - perhaps more.

And one of the things I think we car-lovers are exceptionally good at, that I don't think we get enough credit for, is being highly creative.

From custom paint schemes to original builds and so much more - there's a lot of creativity flowing with car guys and gals.

So I want to share an opportunity with you.  A contest that I was alerted to by SAE (previously known as the Society of Automotive Engineers).

First, there's no cost.  Second, it's super-broad.  And third, anyone can participate. 

The 19th Annual Create The Future Design Contest gives you a chance to win $25k.

Add the Lyon Air Museum to the list of cool spots to hit that have opened up!  That's in addition to the Marconi, the Petersen and, the Automobile Driving Museum which has some cool events coming up I'll be sharing with you.Remember, due to COVID cancellations and ancillary issues it created, most of our annual spring/early-summer car shows are canceled.But there are lots of cars and coffee events happening this weekend.  Friday:

• Garden Grove, Historic Main Street Car Show - I've never been.

Saturday:

• San Bernardino County, Grand Terrace Cars And Coffee - gif from my last visit at the very bottom.
