Greetings,

Thursday is Veterans Day.  My most sincere and heartfelt thanks to those of you who've served. 

Thank You.

And there are a couple of car shows this weekend that honor Veterans Day.  Additionally, on Veterans Day the

Lyon Air Museum is offering free admission to Vets

.

This past week's passing of the infrastructure bill (like it or not) means that EVs are going to get easier to own.  How soon and how much easier is anyones' guess.

And the EV topic was a hot one in my newsletter a few months back.  Many of you replied with your thoughts - and thanks for doing so!  I know I have a highly informed group reading each week - you keep me on my toes! :0)

So, it's time to bring that topic back.  And while I do let me clarify my stance:

• I love driving EVs and I love our planet and environment.

• However, I do not get the rush to electric - due to one key factor.

• Even if we have fast EV charging on every block.. how in the heck are we going to make enough electricity?

Engineers and physicists I've spoken with say there's no way wind and solar combined will come remotely close to replacing our need for fossil fuels.  

So fast forward to all EVs on the road, charging stations everywhere - where's the electricity coming from?  And with that problem in mind - why are we not charging headlong into hydrogen-powered cars like we are with EVs?
