Car Shows Are Beginning To Look A Lot Like... 🎄

Warm Wednesday Wishes!
Before the pandemic, I had been watching Tesla stock. So when the market tanked and Tesla reached a low of around $70 in March of 2020 I went so far as to discuss a possible investment with my friend, Ryan.
However, I didn't get in. And considering the stock has since reached $1,250... I'm bummed, to say the very least. :0\
Other than the gigantic lost financial opportunity I'm recently reminded of that discussion with Ryan. Because I talked up Elon Musk in a very big way back then.
I'd read a biography on Musk. And, through iDriveSoCal I've kept relatively close track of the progress of his companies.
But when I shared my thoughts on Musk with Ryan he didn't really agree. But I stood firm in my opinion which hasn't changed. Here's a snapshot of the points I made to Ryan.
Overall I think history will likely look at Elon Musk as being more significant than Henry Ford, Andrew Carnegie, and possibly even Thomas Edison. In short, here's why:
While he wasn't the founder, he made Tesla the first successful start-up new car company in about 100-years.
Moreover, he accomplished that basically as a side-project - because SpaceX and getting mankind to mars has been his focus.
Plus there's Solar City, The Boring Company, Paypal, and a myriad of inventions and other stuff that he's done and working on.
Now any one of the aforementioned accomplishments is a career-maker. A life-definer. A significant achievement.
But adding
all
of them together, knowing he's just 50-years old and still going (very strong)... well that is nothing less than remarkable - truly.
If you haven't heard, he's been named
And I think it's a well-deserved honor. I don't agree with all his positions. And he's had his failures too.
But
and simply wrong. Musk has proven over-and-over that he has vision, can execute, and readily risks everything betting on himself.
Congrats to him - and may he keep going!
And you too, whatever you're working to accomplish. Keep going! :0)
Drive on with holiday cheer!
